François Mathy (born December 31, 1944 in Brussels ) is a former Belgian show jumper .
In 1972 he started at the Olympic Games in Munich. At the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, he won the bronze medal both individually and with the team.
Mathy runs a training and trading stable in Remouchamps, Belgium . Since 2010 he has been the employer of the German jumping champion from 2012, Marc Bettinger .
Private
His son François Mathy Jr is also a show jumper.
