François Regnault

François Regnault (born November 1938 in Paris ) is a French writer , translator and philosopher .

Life

Regnault studied with Louis Althusser and initially taught at the Prytanée national militaire , from 1964 to 1970 at the Lycée de Reims , and finally at the Université de Vincennes , here first at the philosophical faculty and from 1974 at the psychoanalytic faculty.

1976 he founded with Brigitte Jaques-Wajeman the Compagnie Pandora . Since then he has worked continuously for the theater, as a translator, as an author, and occasionally as a dramaturge . From 1991 to 1997 he directed the Théâtre de la Commune in Aubervilliers with Jaques-Wajeman . From 1994 to 2001 he taught at the Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique . He also worked with Emmanuel Demarcy-Mota at the Comédie de Reims . He translated u. a. for Gallimard Wedekinds Spring Awakening and 1996 for the Éditions Théâtrales Ibsens Peer Gynt .
