Francesca Gallina (born November 24, 1996 in Magenta (Lombardy) ) is an Italian snowboarder . She starts in snowboard cross .

Career

Gallina, who starts for the CS Esercito , took part in the European Cup for the first time in Saas-Fee in October 2011 and finished 32nd. At the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2013 in Predeal , she won the silver medal in snowboard cross. In addition, she achieved 22nd place in the parallel giant slalom. The following year she won the bronze medal in the team competition at the 2014 Junior Snowboarding World Championships in Chiesa in Valmalenco . She completed her first World Cup in March 2014 in Veysonnaz , which she finished in 27th place. In the 2014/15 season she achieved six top ten placements, including first place in Isola 2000 , fourth place in the overall ranking of the European Cup. At the Junior World Championships 2015 in Yabuli , she was sixth in the individual and won the silver medal in the team competition. In the 2015/16 season she achieved two wins and a third place, second place in the overall ranking of the European Cup. At the Junior World Championships in Rogla in 2016 , she finished sixth. In the following season she also achieved a second and third place with two first places, second place in the overall standings. In December 2017 she came in Cervinia with the sixth place for the first time in the World Cup under the top ten. At the Snowboard World Championships 2019 in Park City , she finished fourth in both the individual and team competition together with Emanuel Perathoner .
