Francesco Argentino

Francesco Argentino (* around 1450 in Venice , † 23 August 1511 in Rome ) was Bishop of Concordia and Cardinal of the Roman Church .

Life

After studying law in Padua, he initially worked as a lawyer in Venice, later becoming a canon and in 1494 pastor of Salzano . In Rome he became the family of Cardinal Giuliano della Rovere and in 1506 Bishop of Concordia. Pope Julius II appointed him cardinal priest in his sixth consistory on March 10, 1511 and awarded him the titular church of San Clemente .

After his death, his body was transferred to Concordia and buried in the local cathedral.
