Francesco Cassata (born July 16, 1997 in Sarzana ) is an Italian football player . The midfielder is under contract with the US Sassuolo Calcio .
Career
In the club
Cassata moved from the youth team at FC Empoli to Juventus Turin in 2015 , where he was active in the youth department until 2016.
With the takeover in the professional sector, Cassata switched to Serie B on loan to Ascoli Picchio FC 1898 in 2016 . In the 2016/17 , Cassata played for Ascoli in 36 games and scored one goal. After his return, he moved from Juventus to first division club US Sassuolo Calcio in July 2017 . For this he played ten games in the 2017/18 season and scored one goal.
In the national team
Since 2013, Cassata has been playing for various junior national teams in Italy.
