Francesco D'Aniello (born March 21, 1969 in Nettuno ) is a former Italian sports shooter .
successes
Francesco D'Aniello twice took part in the Olympic Games in double trap. In 2008 he moved into the final in Beijing with 141 points, in which he scored 46 more points. His total score of 187 points earned him the silver medal behind Walton Eller and ahead of Hu Binyuan . At the 2012 Olympic Games in London he missed the final in eighth place , with 136 points he was only one point short of at least one jump-off for the final. In 2007 in Nicosia and in 2009 in Maribor , D'Aniello became world champion . He also won the title with the team in 2007 and secured silver with them in 2009. In 2009 and 2010 he won the individual title at the European Championships.
In September 2008 D'Aniello received the Officer's Cross of the Italian Order of Merit for his Olympic success . He is married and has one child.
