Francesco Gabriele (born January 20, 1977 ) is an Italian soccer coach and former soccer player.

Player career

Gabriele began his junior career at FC Solothurn. After a short career as a player, he ended his career at the age of 22.

Coaching career

Gabriele began his coaching career with the junior group Team Aargau and FC Baden. He had launched the first young talent project himself. There was a short time at AC Bellinzona. After eleven games, he was replaced by Martin Andermatt before the winter break , although Gabriele had scored 25 points in those games. The reason for this was probably internal conflicts in the club. Gabriele moved to FC Thun, where he remained assistant coach under Urs Fischer for one season . At Lausanne-Sport he was fired after eleven rounds in October. In November he already took over the coaching position at FC Wil. After the gap to bottom of the table FC Biel-Bienne after a 4-1 defeat in Winterthur was only one point, Gabriele was dismissed in Wil and replaced by the former Turkish international Erdal Keser .

In 2016 Gabriele moved to FC Wohlen, with whom he and Francesco Gabriele won the Aargauer Derby for the first time against FC Aarau with 3-0 on April 22, 2017.

Private

Gabriele studied business administration after graduating from high school. Gabriele is married and has two children.
