Francis Lacassin
Francis Lacassin (born November 18, 1931 in Saint-Jean-du-Gard , France , † August 12, 2008 in Paris ) was a French journalist , writer and screenwriter .
Life
As a journalist he worked for L'Express and Point , among others . He later became known through numerous essays on fantastic literature , comics and detective novels . With his essay Pour un neuvième art: La bande dessinée from 1971 he coined the term “ninth art” for comics.
