Francis Leclerc
Francis Leclerc (* 1971 in Québec , Québec , Canada ) is a Canadian film director , screenwriter and film editor .
Life and accomplishments
He was born in the city of Québec. His father is the Québec songwriter Félix Leclerc. Francis Leclerc studied communication science . In the 1990s he directed first short films, then music videos and films.
In 2001, Leclerc was nominated at the World Film Festival in Montréal for A Girl at the Window ( Une jeune fille à la fenêtre ) in the international competition for the Grand Prix des Amériques . In 2005 he received the Prix Jutra in the category Best Director for the psychodrama Mémoires affectives , starring Roy Dupuis , and he was also nominated for Best Screenplay . In 2005 he won two Genie Awards for Mémoires affectives , namely for Best Director and Best Original Screenplay .
