Francis Nelson (ice hockey player)
Francis Augustus Nelson junior (born January 24, 1910 in New York City , New York , † March 9, 1973 in Upper Montclair , New Jersey ) was an American ice hockey player .
Career
Francis Nelson attended Yale University . During his studies from 1927 to 1931, in addition to four years of ice hockey, he also regularly played football and baseball there . He was also a member of the rowing team at Yale University. Immediately after his studies, he went into the insurance business, in which he worked until his death, although he interrupted his activity to participate in the 1932 Winter Games.
International
For the USA Nelson took part in the 1932 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid , where he won the silver medal with his team. He himself scored one goal in five games over the course of the tournament.
