Francisco Centelles

Francisco Centelles ( Juan Francisco Centelles Aizpurúa; born January 26, 1961 in Playa , Havana ) is a former Cuban high jumper .

In 1979 he finished fourth at the Pan American Games in San Juan .

At the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow, he was eliminated from the qualification.

In 1981 he won the Central American and Caribbean Athletics Championships and in 1982 the Central American and Caribbean Games .

In 1983 he came in 15th place at the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki and triumphed at the Pan American Games in Caracas .

In 1985 he won silver at the Central American and Caribbean Championships and at the Universiade . In 1986 he defended his title at the Central American and Caribbean Games and won silver at the Ibero-American Championships. Further silver medals followed at the Central American and Caribbean Championships in 1987 and at the Ibero-American Championships in 1988.

In 1984 he became English champion.

He set his personal best of 2.32 m on June 4, 1983 in Bratislava .
