Francisco Santos (artist)

Francisco José Ribeiro Lopes dos Santos , mainly known as Francisco Santos (born May 17, 1962 in Luanda , Angola ), is an Angolan-Portuguese artist. He is known as a swimmer under the name of Francisco Lopes Santos , as a visual artist under Xesko , as a poet under Elias Karipande , as a fantasy and science fiction author under Alan J. Banta . He publishes in English and Portuguese .

As an athlete , he represented Angola in swimming at the 1980 Summer Olympics (men 100 m chest and men 4 × 100 m individual relay).

He also represented his country in other international games, including the 1978 Pan-African Games in Algiers , the Seventh USSR Summer Spartakiad in Moscow in 1979 and the Summer Universiade in Mexico City in 1979.
