Francisco de Araújo

Francisco de Araújo (born October 7, 1973 in Hatu-Builico , Portuguese Timor ) is a politician from East Timor . He is a member of the Associação Social-Democrata de Timor (ASDT) and was the ASDT chairman in the Ainaro district (as of 2012).

Araújo has completed secondary school. From 2007 to 2012 he was a member of the National Parliament of East Timor . Here Araújo was a member of the Commission for Health, Education and Culture (Commission F).

Araújo was one of the supporters of party chairman Francisco Xavier do Amaral, who died in 2012, and internal party opponents of the temporary new chairman Gil da Costa Alves . In the 2012 parliamentary elections , Araújo was 10th on the ASDT's electoral list. However, the ASDT failed at the three percent hurdle.
