Franck Junillon (born November 28, 1978 in Montpellier , Département Hérault ) is a former French handball player . He is 1.96 m tall and weighs 99 kg.

Career

In his early youth, Franck Junillon still played handball at city rivals Istres Ouest Provence, but in 1987 he joined the largest city club Montpellier HB, where he made his debut in the French premier league ten years later. With the southern French, the backcourt player won the French championship in 1998, 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006, the French Cup in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2006, and in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and In 2008 the French League Cup and the highlight in 2003 was the EHF Champions League . Junillon was always only one of the supplementary players on his team. From 2008 to 2010 he played for MT Melsungen in the German handball league . Junillon then played at USAM Nîmes in France, where he ended his career in 2012.

Franck Junillon has made 101 appearances for the French national team . With France he finished sixth at the 2004 European handball championship in Slovenia and bronze at the 2005 World Cup in Tunisia . At the European Championships in 2006 and 2008 , as well as the men's handball world championship in Germany in 2007 , he was only part of the extended squad of his country. In 2009 he became world champion with France in 2009 and 2011 and European champion in 2010 .
