Frank Fernando Jones

Frank Fernando Jones (born August 26, 1855 in Bath , New York , † January 29, 1941 in Villisca , Iowa ) was an American businessman and politician of the Republican Party . He was a member of the Iowa House of Representatives and a Senator in the Iowa Senate .

Career

After he was born, his parents moved to Princeton , Illinois , where he attended high school. In 1882 Jones moved to Villisca, Iowa, where he became an accountant , where he had his own household goods and farm equipment business. He was also a member of the Villisca City Council. He was a member of the Iowa House of Representatives from 1904 to 1909 and a Senator in the Iowa Senate from 1913 to 1917. In 1940 Jones wrote the book "Reminiscences of Events in the Life of FF Jones". A year later he died in his home in Villisca. Jones was married with a daughter and a son.

Jones was considered a suspect when eight people were murdered in Villisca in 1912. This murder went down in history as Villisca ax murders .
