Frank Handley
Frank Handley (actually Francis Richard Handley; born October 31, 1910 in Salford ; † October 31, 1985 there ) was a British middle-distance runner and sprinter .
At the Olympic Games in Berlin in 1936 , he reached the semi-finals over 800 m .
In 1938 he won 880 yards at the British Empire Games in Sydney and silver with the English four-by-440-yard relay; over 440 yards he was eliminated in advance. In the same year he failed at the European Athletics Championships in Paris over 800 m in the preliminary round.
He set his personal best over 880 yards of 1: 52.9 min (corresponds to 1: 52.2 min over 800 m) on August 2, 1937 in London .
