Frank Lübke (born January 10, 1965 ) is a former German handball goalkeeper who was among other things for TSV Altenholz in the 2nd handball Bundesliga .

Career

Lübke began playing handball at TS Riemann Eutin and took part in the 1979/80 season with the Ostholsteiners in the first-ever final of the German C youth championship. After two semi-final wins against West German champions DJK Unitas Haan, the 15-year-old and his team prevailed against West Berlin champions TSV Tempelhof-Mariendorf in the final with 9: 7 and 11:11 and was thus the greatest success of the Association involved. The goalkeeper was also initially active for TS Riemann in the men's field and was later on the Ostholstein team, along with other players from the championship team from 1980 and some newcomers such as Frank Cordes .

Lübke also played for TSV Altenholz: The goalkeeper was active several times in the games of the northern season of the 2nd handball Bundesliga for the handball players from the Kiel outskirts and was reactivated for the last time for the 2000/01 season as the "wolves" the TSVA managed to stay close to the league.

In 2001 Lübke finally ended his career as a player in the performance area. The high school teacher, who teaches history, sport and religion at the Johanneum zu Lübeck , was still active as a trainer for various youth teams in his hometown after finishing his active career.
