Frank Lagerpusch is a former German basketball player .

career

Lagerpusch played in the 1980s for MTV Wolfenbüttel  in the basketball league  and in the 2nd basketball league . The two-meter-long winger ended his competitive sports career at the age of 22 due to injury.

He remained connected to basketball as a coach. Among other things, he worked in the junior division of MTV Gifhorn. From 2008 to 2010 he was the coach of the SG Braunschweig U16 team  in the youth basketball league . In the 2014/14 season he coached the U16 boys of the Junior Phantoms Braunschweig, from summer 2015 to March 2016 he was the assistant coach of the Dukes Wolfenbüttel in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB . In 2016/17 he was part of the coaching staff of Braunschweig's U19 team in the youth basketball league .

In October 2017, Lagerpusch became head coach of the women's second division team Wolfpack Wolfenbüttel and led the team to promotion to the women's basketball league in the 2017/18 season . After this success he gave up the coaching position.

In 1990 he took over the management of the Lagerpusch forwarding company from his father. With his company supported the Braunschweig first division basketball club with funds.

Private

His son Lars , whom Lagerpusch promoted as a coach for a long time, became a professional basketball player, his daughter Rebecca made the leap into the second division of Wolfenbüttel in 2017, where she was trained by her father.
