Frank Müller (basketball player)
Frank Müller (born November 21, 1964 in Berlin ) is a German basketball player . The 2.06 meter long inside player was on the field during his playing career for TK Hannover in the basketball league .
career
Müller played in the youth and in the men's team of Sportfreunde Neukölln until 1991, and in 1987 he was promoted to the 2nd basketball league with the Berliners . After stints at the Berlin sports club Academy of Sciences and the Russian first division team Spartak St. Petersburg , he played for TK Hannover in the basketball league in the 1993/94 season , and then played for the second division TuS Lichterfelde from 1994 to 2001 .
In 2001, Müller became player-coach at SSV Lokomotive Bernau in the Regionalliga and remained in office until January 2004. He then worked briefly again as a player for Lichterfelde. In the following years he worked as a trainer at Berlin TS, Tiergarten ISC, TSV Rudow, Berliner SC, BG Zehlendorf and Future Basketball Berlin.
In 2009, Müller moved to Jena, where he coached the teams in the youth basketball league and the junior basketball league at the Science City association , worked as a basketball coach at the sports high school and worked as the national coach of the Thuringian basketball association . In the summer of 2012, he switched to the junior division of the Bundesliga club Eisbären Bremerhaven as a coach . From 2013 to 2015 he was employed as a regional coach at the West German Basketball Association, where he worked in the field of young talent. On July 1, 2015, Müller took over the position of sporting director of the part-time basketball boarding school in Langen and also trained the men's team of TV 1862 Langen in the regional league. At the beginning of October 2015, he gave up his position with the Langen regional league team.
In August 2016, he moved to UBC Münster and took over the management of the youth work and the post of full-time youth trainer at the club. He stayed in office until the end of the 2017/18 season.
