Frank Michael (singer)
Frank Michael (born May 7, 1953 in Parma ; real name Franco Gabelli ) is a Belgian singer .
biography
Frank Michael was in 1947 in Parma in Italy as Franco Gabelli born. He and his family left Italy at the age of three and grew up in the Belgian city of Seraing in the province of Liège ; here he completed an apprenticeship as an electrical engineer.
Frank Michaels started out as a musician and his debut single Je ne peux vivre sans toi was released in 1974 by the RCA record company . His musical style moves in the tradition of Mike Brant and Frédéric François .
His greatest musical successes are Dites-lui que je l'aime (1974), San Angelo (1985, the French version of On the White Beach of San Angelo by the German pop singer GG Anderson ), Il est toujours question d'amour (2001) and the song Après tant d'annés d'amour, composed by Didier Barbelivien , with which he reached number 7 in the French singles charts in 2003 and which was also included in the singles charts in Belgium and Switzerland .
In 2007 he tried Do you still know? - Je n'oublie pas , a duet with the pop singer Mary Roos to gain a foothold in German-speaking Europe. 2013 he could with his song Quelques mots d'amour place on the charts and was in the Walloon charts in Belgium for three weeks on the chart peak .
