Didier Barbelivien
Didier Barbelivien (born March 10, 1954 in Paris ) is a French composer , songwriter and singer .
Life
From the mid-1970s he wrote several successful titles for Johnny Hallyday ( Elle m'oublie ) , Michel Sardou , Patricia Kaas , Gérard Lenorman and Michèle Torr .
As a composer and lyricist, he has also worked for Hervé Vilard , Gilbert Montagné , Marcel Amont , Marie Laforêt , Demis Roussos , Enrico Macias , Dalida , Claude François , Gilbert Bécaud , Corynne Charby , Lisa Angell , Mireille Mathieu , Glenn Medeiros , Julio Iglesias , Sylvie Vartan , Frank Michael , Shirel , Garou and Marilou Bourdon .
Didier Barbelivien took part in the Eurovision Song Contest four times as a composer . In 1978 songs he wrote landed in third and fourth place. Joël Prévost sang Il y aura toujours des violons for France , which was created in collaboration with Gérald Stern . The Monegasque contribution Les Jardins de Monaco just missed the podium. Caline and Oliver Toussaint sang this work, which Barbelivien had composed with Paul de Senneville , Jean Albertini and Olivier Toussaint. In 1979 Monaco took part again with a song written by Barbelivien, De Senneville and Albertini. Laurent Vaguener finished 16th with Notre vie c'est la musique . In 1995 Nathalie Santamaria sang Il me donne rendez-vous , which took fourth place. Barbelivien wrote the song in collaboration with François Bernheim , with whom most of Patricia Kaas' songs were composed .
Didier Barbelivien also appeared as a singer in the 1980s and 1990s. He celebrated his greatest successes in a duet with Félix Gray . In 1990 and 1991, respectively, they achieved two number 1 hits in a row in the French charts with the songs À toutes les filles and Il faut laisser le temps au temps .
