Frank Nelson (athlete)
Frank Nelson ( Frank Thayer Nelson ; born May 22, 1887 in Detroit , Michigan , † July 16, 1970 in Grosse Pointe , Michigan) was an American pole vaulter .
At the Olympic Games in Stockholm in 1912 he won the silver medal with his personal best of 3.85 m, together with his compatriot Marc Wright . The winner Harry Babcock (3.95 m) also came from the USA.
