Frank Peter (cyclist)

Frank Peter (born March 11, 1967 ) is a former German cyclist and national champion in cycling .

Athletic career

In 1984 he had his first major international assignment. He started at the UCI-Bahn World Championships for Juniors and finished there in 9th place in the road race . A year later he won the international junior rally in the GDR . In 1988 Peter was East German champion in team pursuit . In 1987 and 1989 he was runner-up with his team. In 1989 he was third in the championship race in the points race . From the traditional GDR road races he was able to win in 1989 Berlin-Leipzig . At his only start in the GDR tour , he retired in 1987. He started for the SC DHfK Leipzig .
