The 35th GDR tour took place from September 12th to 20th, 1987 . With a prologue and eight stages, it led over 1,395 km. As in the previous year, Uwe Ampler was able to win this tour .

Attendees

122 drivers from six countries took part in the 35th tour. A team from Bulgaria , the ČSSR , the Netherlands , Poland and Romania could be welcomed as guests . The GDR started with two national teams, various club and regional teams as well as a BSG selection. 88 of the drivers who started reached the destination of the tour.

Jerseys

Six jerseys were awarded during this tour: the yellow jersey for the best overall, the blue jersey for the best team , the purple jersey for the most active driver, the green for the best climber , the pink for the most versatile driver and the white for the best young driver.
