Teams
A total of 112 drivers from 19 teams took part. Foreign teams came from Belgium , the Netherlands , Norway , Poland , Romania and the ČSSR. There was also a Slovakia selection. The drivers from the GDR were divided into two GDR selection teams, two teams from a so-called Berlin selection, a BSG selection with athletes such as Wolfgang Lötzsch and Martin Goetze, some of whom had fallen out of favor, and sports clubs such as SC Karl-Marx-Stadt , SC Cottbus , ASK Vorwärts Frankfurt / Oder and the SC Turbine Erfurt . The team of the SC DHfK Leipzig with Uwe Ampler , Uwe Raab , Bert Dietz , Steffen Rein , Thomas Liese and Jan Schur started as GDR selection I.
Jerseys
