Frank Ruch
Frank Ruch (* 1961 ) is a German politician and has been Lord Mayor of Quedlinburg since July 1, 2015 . He was elected to office on March 22, 2015.
Life
Ruch was born as the son of Marga and Gerhard Ruch. He has a younger brother. Ruch was initially a zoo technician / mechanizer at the LPG in Westerhausen before he began studying agricultural engineering for animal breeding in Wernigerode in 1984 . Since the political change he has been a member of the CDU and he was an employee in what was then the district of Quedlinburg and later in the subsequent district of Harz . Furthermore, he sat from 1999 to 2003 and again since 2009 in the city council of Quedlinburg. In 2014 he was nominated as a candidate of the CDU for the mayoral election in Quedlinburg. For the first time, this choice also included the incorporated districts of Gernrode and Bad Suderode .
On March 22, 2015, Frank Ruch was elected Lord Mayor for the city of Quedlinburg with 56.3%. Incumbent Eberhard Brecht , whose term of office ended on June 30, 2015, did not stand for reasons of age.
