Life

education

Frank Scheermesser was born in Königstein (Saxon Switzerland) in 1958 and later studied mechanical engineering in Saxony. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, Scheermesser moved to Kreuzberg , where he began to work as a freelance real estate agent .

Political commitment

In 1984 Scheermesser joined the Eastern CDU and was a member of the party for 17 years. In 2001 he switched to the FDP and remained with the Liberals until 2009. In 2013 he joined Scheermesser of the alternatives for Germany and co-founded the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district association. According to his own statement, he is “liberal-conservative.” Together with Heike Rubert , Scheermesser is suing the party's arbitration tribunal against the election of the Berlin AfD in January on suspicion of electoral fraud .

Scheermesser ran for the Berlin election to the House of Representatives in 2016, as did the District Assembly (BVV) Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg for the AfD. The Berlin regional association selected him at number 19 on the state list, and in the district he held the first candidate position. As his main thematic priorities, he named video surveillance for crime areas (such as Görlitzer Park and the RAW site ) as well as the intensified fight against drug-related crime with the help of more police presence. During the election campaign, Scheermesser complained of hostility and violence against him, including being hit on the head with a bottle.

After the AfD won a good 14 percent of the vote in the House of Representatives election, Scheermesser also won a mandate for the state parliament via the state list. Since then he has been a member of the AfD parliamentary group in the Berlin House of Representatives. In addition, the AfD won 5.6 percent in the election for BVV Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg. Since only one of these mandates can be exercised in Berlin at the same time, Scheermesser waived the mandate in the district.

Life

Scheermesser is divorced.
