Frank Siersleben (born December 8, 1960 ) was a soccer player at 1. FC Magdeburg , for whom he played in the GDR Oberliga , the highest East German soccer class. He is a 23-time GDR youth national player.

Siersleben joined the youth team of 1. FC Magdeburg in 1974. As a junior player, he played 19 internationals with the junior national team, and later four junior internationals were added. In 1978 he was nominated as a defender by the FCM for its junior league team. As a student he was registered for the GDR Oberliga team of the FCM for the 1979/80 season. On August 25, 1979, the 2nd game day of the season, he came to his first league assignment. In the encounter 1. FCM - Chemie Leipzig (4-0) he was called up as a left defender. Overall, he was used ten times in his first league season. In the following season, Siersleben, who had started studying to be a certified sports teacher in 1980, only played in the junior league. It was only in 1983/84 that he succeeded in gaining a permanent foothold in the 1st team with 16 point games.

Siersleben played six games in the European cup competitions for 1. FC Magdeburg. His first European Cup match was the first round match in the UEFA Cup Athletico Bilbao - 1. FCM (2-0) on September 17, 1986, in which he was used in his regular position as a left defender. Then he was in all other European Cup games of the FCM until 1990, of which only two went out victorious.

From 1984 the 1.74 m tall Siersleben finally belonged to the trunk of the league team, and until the end of the GDR league in 1991 never played less than 20 point games in one season. After FCM missed qualifying for the 2nd Bundesliga in 1991, Siersleben played in the then third-class NOFV Oberliga until 1994 . Here he was used in 98 point games. In the meantime he was no longer a defensive player, but moved into the midfield and so came to more goals. If he only got two goals in the GDR Oberliga, he scored ten goals in the NOFV Oberliga. In the 1993/94 season Siersleben was team captain of the FCM. He ended his career at 1. FC Magdeburg with the final of the Saxony-Anhalt State Cup on May 18, 1994 against Halleschen FC (3: 4). He could look back on 299 point games, 42 national and 6 international cup games. In addition to his 12 goals, he scored another two goals in the national cup competitions.

After FCM failed to qualify for the new regional league in 1994, Siersleben and Reinhard Rother followed his former teammate Rolf Döbbelin , who was the coach at Fortuna Magdeburg. With Fortuna he made it to the fourth class league. Siersleben played here until 1999 before he ended his sporting career after a year with the Magdeburg national league club MSV Börde in 2000.

Immediately after the end of his playing career, Frank Siersleben took over the coaching position of his last club MSV Börde. In 2003 Siersleben moved back to 1. FC Magdeburg. He coached the club's second team and led them from the city league to the association league within four years . After internal disagreements, Siersleben was released from his duties in spring 2007. In May 2011 Siersleben became a coach at eight-class FSV Barleben, with whom he was promoted to the Saxony-Anhalt state league for the 2011/12 season.
