Frank Trojahn (born August 20, 1963 in Sønderborg ) is a Danish officer , currently Rear Admiral , and since 2013 the commander of the Danish Navy .

career

Frank Trojahn joined the Danish Navy in 1983 and completed the officer course at Søværnets Officersskole in Copenhagen by 1986 . He was then used in various roles on mine layers, from 1992 to 1995 as a commander .

He then moved to the commander's staff as a consultant for the miners' associations in Denmark and from 1999 to 2002 at the Ministry of Defense . From 2002 to 2005 Trojahn was accredited as a military attaché at the Danish embassy in Berlin and Denmark's liaison officer to the operational command in Potsdam . For his general staff / admiral staff course, Trojahn had already been assigned to the command academy of the Bundeswehr in Hamburg from 1997 to 1999 . In 1999 he was awarded the General Carl von Clausewitz Honorary Certificate of the Clausewitz Society for his work on the course .

From 2007 to 2008 Trojahn commanded the Absalon , a command and support ship, and switched to the defense command in 2010.

Private

Trojahn is married and has two grown daughters.
