Frank Tusa

Frank Tusa (born April 1, 1947 in New York City ) is an American jazz bassist.

Tusa worked a. a. with Paul Bley (1970–71), Dave Liebman's Trio Open Sky (1972–74), Dom Um Romão (1973) and Art Blakey . From 1973 to 1976 he was a member of Liebman's band Lookout Farm . With this as a studio band, which included pianist Richie Beirach , drummer Jeff Williams and the Bengali percussionist Badal Roy , he recorded the album Father Time in 1975 as a band leader . Between 1975 and 1979 he formed the group Eon with Beirach and Eliot Zigmund ; he also recorded with Bebop & Beyond .
