Frank Woodruff

Frank Woodruff (born June 11, 1906 in Columbia , South Carolina , † September 16, 1983 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American director and film producer .

Act

Woodruff, not particularly successful as an actor , decided to pursue a career as a director and studied at the Yale School of Drama , among others . He supposedly mastered all areas of the theater, from the stage electrics to stage design tasks.

He became known for his work as program director for the Lux Radio Theater radio series from January 1936 to October 1939. In 1943 he was a director there. He made several low budget films in Hollywood in the early 1940s and worked for television in the late 1940s / early 1950s.
