Frank Seymour Wright (born December 26, 1878 in South Wales , New York , † February 13, 1931 in Buffalo , New York ) was an American sports marksman .
successes
Frank Wright, who was active for the Audubon Gun Club , took part in the 1920 Olympic Games in Antwerp in a trap . In the individual, he finished third with 87 points behind Mark Arie and Frank Troeh and thus received the bronze medal. He finished the team competition with the US team in first place, with 547 points the Americans had 44 points ahead of the second-placed Belgians. In addition to Wright, the team also included Mark Arie, Horace Bonser , Jay Clark , Frank Troeh and Forest McNeir . He has won numerous state-level competitions.
Wright worked as a carpenter. On a construction site in Buffalo, a concrete ceiling collapsed over him, so that Wright was buried under several stories. He initially survived the accident but fell into a coma and died in hospital almost a year later.
