Frank van Aken

Frank van Aken (* 1970 ) is a Dutch opera singer with a tenor voice .

Live and act

Frank van Aken studied singing at the Royal Conversatory in The Hague and with the American tenor James McCray . In 1994 he won the Cristina Deutekom competition. A year later he made his debut as Macduff in Macbeth at the Nederlandes Reisopera in Enschede . In the same year he made his international debut in Rome as Cavardossi in Tosca . In 1996 he had an engagement at the Meiningen State Theater . From 1997 to 2000 the tenor was a permanent member of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf. There he was u. a. to hear and see as Lohengrin, Erik, Stolzing, Radames, Siegmund and Parsifal. Guest engagements have taken the artist to Berlin, Munich, Stuttgart, Strasbourg, Bayreuth, London, etc. Since the 2006/07 season, the singer has been a member of the Frankfurt Opera ensemble .

Frank van Aken is married to the soprano Eva-Maria Westbroek .
