Franka lamp
Franka Lampe (born January 16, 1969 in Halle (Saale) ; † January 6, 2016 in Insul / Eifel ) was a German accordionist who played klezmer , Yiddish songs and Balkan music .
Life
Franka Lampe grew up in Potsdam , where, in addition to her training as a technical draftsman, she also learned the recorder . Since 1989 she has been learning the accordion autodidactically , with a particular interest in folk music from the Balkans and Jewish music . She later took lessons from Alan Bern . She has lived in Berlin since the late 1980s. Most of all, she became known as a German klezmer accordionist. She played with the groups "Folkinger," Andrea Pancurs Federmentsh "," Finkelstein Kapelye "," modern klezmer quartet "," Schikker wi Lot "," Sher on a Shier "," Klezmers Techter "," nu "," la ' om "," Ljuti Hora "," Xell "," Oloyé "," Out of Oro "," Yerevan ", in a duo with Jalda Rebling and with others. As a guest she performed with" Ot Azoj Klezmerband "," TangoToy ", "Brave Old World", "Kazbek Klezmer Ensemble", "Di fidl Kapelye" and other groups. It was as a stage musician and composer at the Gorki Theater , the Shakespeare Ensemble and the Black Swan Theater in Berlin as much in demand as a lecturer at “Musica Viva”, “amj” and “yiddish summer weimar.” She was also co-organizer of the “Klezmerbund im Kaffee Burger” concert series in Berlin.
At the beginning of January 2016 she succumbed to cancer.
