Franck Étienne (2001)

Frankétienne (real name: Frank Étienne ; born April 12, 1936 in Ravine-Sèche , Artibonite department , Haiti ) is a writer , poet , playwright, musician and painter. He writes in both French and Haitian Creole . As a painter he is known for his colored abstract works, which often emphasize the colors blue and red. In addition to his artistic work, he was also the school director and in 1988 Minister of Culture for a short time.
