The Frankland River is a river in the northwest of the Australian state of Tasmania .

geography

River course

The river is created on the eastern edge of the Arthur Pieman Conservation Area , around four kilometers east of the Balfour settlement , through the confluence of the Lindsay River and the Horton River . It flows parallel to the coast on the eastern edge of the protected area to the northwest through unpopulated area. About two kilometers north of the settlement of Wuthong Heights Plain it flows into the Arthur River .
