The Horton River is a river in the northwest of the Australian state of Tasmania .

River course

The river has its source on the western slopes of Mount Bertha . From there it flows in an S-curve to the west and forms about 4 km east of the settlement Balfour , on the eastern edge of the Arthur Pieman Conservation Area , together with the Lindsay River, the Frankland River .
