Franklin April (born April 18, 1984 in Windhoek , Namibia , † October 18, 2015 ) was a Namibian football player . He was a defender at the Namibian club Civics FC and in the Namibian national team .

April joined Civics FC in 1999 and moved up to the first team at the age of 16. In 2005, 2006 and 2007 he won the championship with the Civics in the Namibia Premier League , the country's top division. In 2003 and 2008 he won the NFA Cup . By December 2007, he completed about 185 games in the top Namibian league.

In 2007 he took part with the national team at the 2008 African Cup of Nations in Ghana.

April succumbed to an asthma attack in October 2015 .
