history

The association was founded in 1983 under the name "Bethlehem Boys". Later the name changed first to "The Mighty Civilians" and finally to "Civics FC". For a long time the further development of the club was hampered by financial problems. In 2000, the Bush School Namibia agreed to support the association. This reorganized the association and made it competitive. Since then , the club's president has been Helmuth Scharnowski , who was born in Flensburg and was a coach until August 13, 2010. Ali Akan was a trainer until mid-August before Christie Guruseb took over the position. Helmuth Scharnowski continues to be CEO and head of the football department.

In February 2011, the club announced that it would establish a football academy in cooperation with the Southern Africa Soccer Academy . Among other things, the players have the opportunity to train and play at SK Sturm Graz in Austria for some time .
