African Stars is a sports club from Windhoek , Namibia, founded in 1952 . In addition to netball , football is mainly operated under the name African Stars FC.
Due to its unsportsmanlike conduct in the 2013/14 season, the club was excluded from the Namibia Premier League for the 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons. The 2016/17 season can begin for the stars in the Namibia First Division . ( See also: Namibia Premier League 2013/14 # scandal game ) This decision was surprisingly withdrawn on August 27, 2014 by the Namibian Football Association.
Soccer
In addition to the Premier League team, a youth team is also active in African Stars FC. They are sponsored by the FNB Namibia . The African Stars, also known as Samba Boys , are Namibia's most popular football club.
