Frans Peeters (born August 30, 1956 in Herentals ) is a former Belgian sports shooter .

Frans Peeters, who started shooting sports in 1970, took part in the Olympic Games three times . In 1988 in Seoul he qualified in the trap with 147 points for the semifinals, in which he hit another 48 goals and reached the final with a total of 195 points. He hit 24 of 25 goals in the final, which, like two other shooters, got 219 points. In the jump-off for bronze, the first opponent was eliminated after eight goals. It was only with his 16th goal that Peeters prevailed against Francisco Boza and received the bronze medal. Four years later he did not get beyond the semi-finals of the trap competition in Barcelona and finished 14th overall. He was at the opening ceremonyFlag bearer of the Belgian delegation. At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta , he finished the trap competition in 49th place, and he also competed in double trap. He reached the 22nd place.

Peeters is married.
