Franz-Georg Guizetti
Franz-Georg Guizetti (born February 23, 1901 in Celle ; † February 7, 1982 ) was a German manufacturer and politician ( CDU ).
Life
Franz-Georg Guizetti came from the Italian immigrant family Guizetti, who settled in Celle from Veneto in the 17th century and in 1696 a wax bleaching a. Founded a candle factory in Celle. After completing a commercial apprenticeship and studying at the Cologne Commercial College, Franz Georg Guizetti joined the family business.
Guizetti was chairman of the board of the Association of German Candle Manufacturers from 1953 to 1969 . His successor was Erich Kopschitz from Rotthalmünster. He was also President of the European Candle Manufacturers Association based in Paris.
Franz-Georg Guizetti became councilor in Celle in 1946 and long-time chairman of the CDU parliamentary group. From 1948 to 1952 he was Lord Mayor of Celle.
Guizetti married Hedwig born in 1922. Smaller; the marriage had eight children. After the death of his wife he married the high school professor Johanna ("Hanni") Guizetti-Zier.
In 1959 he was appointed Knight of the Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher by Cardinal Grand Master Nicola Cardinal Canali and invested on June 6, 1959 by Lorenz Jaeger , Grand Prior of the German Lieutenancy , and Friedrich August von der Heydte , Lieutenant in Germany. He was last Commander of the Order.
