Franz Andreas Ebenhöch

Franz Andreas Ebenhöch (born December 20, 1789 in Würzburg , † December 16, 1857 there ) was a wine wholesaler and councilor in Würzburg and from 1837 to 1843 a politician in the Kingdom of Bavaria .

Johann Andreas Ebenhöch was a son of the wine wholesaler Wilhelm Jeremias Ebenhöch (1749–1809) and his wife Maria Elisabeth Wiesen (1762–1800), from Zell and grandson of the Prince Bishop's privy councilor Johann Wilhelm Ebenhöch and his wife Barbara Hamburger. Ebenhöch was a wealthy owner of property, a private citizen, was one of the richest citizens of the city of Würzburg and was a councilor for the city.

He initially worked as a wine wholesaler in Würzburg, had a coat of arms with a Pegasus , married Christine Josefa Hofmann, from Volkach am Main and had two sons and three daughters with her.

From 1837 to 1843 Ebenhöch was a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Deputies and the Assembly of Estates . He has been described as a "semi-educated man" and politically "loyal to the government". In 1857, at the age of 68, he died of a stroke as a private citizen in Würzburg .
