Franz Andreas Schramm
Franz Andreas Schramm (born October 5, 1752 in Fulda , † 1799 in Heidelberg ) was a German theologian .
Life
Schramm was born in Fulda and began his theological studies at the Jesuitenkolegg in his hometown. In 1771 he joined the order of the Jesuits . Due to the repeal of the order by Pope Clement XIV in 1773, he could no longer take the vows. He returned to Fulda, where he was sub-regent at the Fulda seminary and from 1787 hospital priest at the Heilig-Geist-Hospital. He was considered an excellent preacher and gave the funeral speech at Heinrich von Bibra's funeral . In 1791 he was appointed full professor at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität in Heidelberg. He was considered a celebrated professor of dogmatics and worked there until his death in 1799. His speech on December 31, 1792 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the reign of Count Palatine and Elector Karl Theodor received a lot of attention .
