Franz Antoine (botanist, 1768)
Franz de Paula Antoine (born January 23, 1768 in Möllersdorf , † August 22, 1834 in Vienna ) was an Austrian pomologist .
Life
Franz Antoine from Lower Austria worked as a royal-imperial court gardener in Vienna from 1810 . During his time he beautified the courtyard garden and also took care of the cultivation of fruit trees . He died in Vienna at the age of 66. In 1820 he wrote a work that was well known in specialist circles at the time. His son of the same name was also a court gardener.
