Franz Baake (1975)

Franz Baake (born December 31, 1931 in Chemnitz ) is a German director , photographer, author and screenwriter , psychologist and poet .

Life

His parents died in World War II . Baake attended the humanistic Viktoria-Gymnasium in Potsdam and began training as a photographer in 1952, which he completed two years later as a journeyman . After working as a press officer at United Artists in 1956 , he worked as a freelance cameraman, editor and director from 1957 to 1960. The official contribution of the Federal Republic of Germany Test for the West: Berlin received the Silver Bear at the 1962 Berlin Film Festival . In 1964 he began studying psychology at the TU Berlin , but was still working as a director. In 1966 and 1967 he received a federal film award. During this time his first volume of poetry, Lyrik, Essays with lithographs by Siegfried Kischko, was published.

In 1977 Baake was accepted as a psychologist in the German Society for Behavioral Therapy . He made up his masters as a photographer in 1982. In 2005 he was the initiator of an exhibition of caricatures “Hitler Caricatures as a Weapon of War” in Berlin.
