Franz Boner

Franz Anton Boner (born August 14, 1868 in Emden , † July 5, 1941 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen ) was a German banker.

Life

Franz Boner studied law . At the University of Tübingen he became a member of the Corps Suevia in 1887 . After graduating as Dr. jur. he initially worked as a businessman in Bremen . In 1907 he joined the Disconto-Gesellschaft in Berlin, whose business owner he became in 1922. After its merger with Deutsche Bank , he was a member of the board of directors of the latter from 1929 to 1932. From 1932 to 1933 he was a member of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Bank. From 1934 to 1939 he was chairman of the Berlin-Brandenburg Advisory Board of Deutsche Bank.

Boner was also chairman of the supervisory board of Reise- und Handels-AG in Bremen. He was also a member of the supervisory boards of Deutsche Bau- und Bodenbank AG in Berlin, Deutsche Erdöl-AG in Berlin, Jacob Ravené Söhne & Co. AG in Berlin, the German steamship company "Hansa" in Bremen, the Kaiserbrauerei Beck & Co. KGaA in Bremen, the Portland Cement Factory in Hanover, the Banco Brasileiro Allemão, the "Nordsee" Deutsche Hochseefischerei Bremen-Cuxhaven AG and the Norddeutscher Lloyd in Bremen.
