Franz Christmann
Franz "Pipi" Christmann (born April 13, 1934 in Vienna ; † October 25, 1998 there ) was an Austrian cabaret artist and musician .
He initially played the guitar , later the double bass, and performed as the Duo Mayer with his brother Erwin (1929–2000). At the Spitzbuben he often represented Helmut Schicketanz and when this group disbanded in 1973, he was a member of Die Neue Spitzbuben and then with Toni Strobl & Die Runderneuerten (alongside Berti Endler ), who then gave three farewell concerts in the Wiener Stadthalle in November 1993, then there was a collaboration with Lothar Steup accompanied by his combo and later as a trio Die Witzinger with Kurt Schaffer .
Franz Christmann is buried in the Jedleseer Friedhof (Gr. 17, R. 2, No. 7).
