Franz Dambeck
Franz Dambeck (born April 28, 1903 in Munich ; † January 9, 1974 there ) was a German priest and curator .
Life
From 1922 to 1927 studied at the Philosophical-Theological College in Passau ( ordination in Passau on April 17, 1927). After graduating as Dr. phil. In 1937 ( Freiburg im Üechtland ) he became state curator at the State Office for Monument Preservation in Munich in 1946 , and from 1955 chief curator. In 1952 he was appointed lecturer and in 1959 honorary professor for art history at the Philosophical-Theological University of Freising . In 1960 he became honorary professor for the history of Christian art at the LMU Munich .
