Franz Eipeldauer
Franz Eipeldauer (* 1802 in Waidhofen an der Thaya ; † February 21, 1888 in Vienna ) was an Austrian philanthropist .
Life
Eipeldauer was initially a school assistant in his hometown, in 1828 he founded a brandy business in Vienna and was co-owner of the book and art print shop “St. Norbertus ”.
At his instigation, the “Brotherhood of the Most Holy Trinity for the Care of Poor Incurable People” was founded, which opened the “ House of Mercy ” in Währing in 1875 and of which he remained director until the end of his life.
